Malapascua Island, Philippines. Where you can learn to scuba dive AND meet sharks all in one trip.
Malapascua Island in the Philippines has a great diving program for beginners and also has one of the most reliable feeding stations to safely watch thresher sharks. Click below for an itinerary I shared with friends who had never gone scuba diving and, by the end of the trip, transformed into advanced scuba diving, shark obsessed, water people. It’s not so hard, and thresher sharks are mostly harmless.
I put this on my resume for an interview and they couldn’t get enough of this trip. So, for all your aspiring corporates out there, this might be a fun thing to put on your resume.
New York City, New York. My Favorite Evening on the Town.
I love being a tourist in my town. If you are making even a short visit, consider making the most of your NYC evening with a dinner and a show near Times Square, followed by a night cap at a piano bar where you can sing Broadway tunes with people who know every lyric to every Broadway song ever. It’s wild.
Check out this short and sweet NYC evening itinerary.
Palawan, Philippines. Where I learned how to beach bum.
Cebu City, Philippines was originally home for me. Life can be intense, and so on the rare occasion I can travel back I try to make sure the trip is fulfilling. Palawan in the Visayas is one of my favorite places to visit so far. It was an adventurous but romantic getaway for me and my boyfriend, and it was where I learned how to beach bum and island hop. This is a longer trip, so if you have some adventure in you click below for the itinerary! I think you’ll learn to love this place as much as I do.
